Harry L. McCracken, June 10, 1901- August 24, 1960

I was only eight when Uncle Harry died, my memories of him are few. I was always impreesed throughout the years since how many people would say that Doc brought them into this world.

I do remember him as a gruff man, with a deep voice and the smell of pipe tobacco. He took us horse back riding on his farm just West of LaBelle. We would also catch frogs in the farm pond and have them for a meal. I think Aunt Jeanette had to clean them, ugh! It was neat having a doctor in the family, and along with Jeanette, my parents and others, I was inspired to enjoyed the study of sciences. To this day I have Doc's microscope which was built around the trun of the 20th Century.
