Stamper

revised December 12, 2001

My Stamper Tree, starting with my gr-gr-gr-grandparents, Allen and Edith Stamper. I know little of this couple so far. They were probably born in the 1830s and ended up in Northeastern Missouri. My Stamper line remains much of a mystery.

Their son, Rubin Stamper 1850-1943, is my gr-gr-grandfather. He is buried in Crow Cemetery (also known as Oak Cemetery) North of Wayland, Missouri in Clark County. At one time he ran a store in Wayland or St. Francisville, Missouri with someone named Roberts.

His daughter, Blanche is my gr-grandmother, December 1, 1885 - February 5, 1907, she married Bert Stutenburg. She is buried in Sand Cemetery, St. Francisville, also in Clark County, northeastern Missouri along the Des Moines River border with Iowa.

I have an old photo of what I think is Ruebin's storefront. When I have some time, I will scan it and make it available here.
