Lottie Stuckenburg

Do you know who this is?

Lottie STUCKENBERG taken in St. Louis, MO at the Rosch Studios. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1880's and Lottie appears to be in her late teens. She is all dressed in white with flowers pinned to her dress and in her hair and she looks to be holding a small bible. Not sure of the occasion, wedding, graduation, religious ceremony???

In addition to her name, the name "Mrs. John BRETZ" also appears on the reverse of the photo, don't know if Lottie became Mrs. John BRETZ or if that is who the photograph was given to originally. The current holder (see Shelley below) of this photo would like to be able to return the photograph to Lottie's family where it can be treasured and passed from generation to generation. If you are a member of this family or know someone who might be, please contact me.

Shelley Cardiel purchased this photograph at auction from an antique dealer who bought it somewhere in Pennsylvania. She buys photos at flea markets, auctions, antique stores, etc. which include some identification and then try to locate the family so that the photograph can once again become a family treasure. She refers to her operation as a "rescue" mission, something she does because it makes her feel good! If you know who Lottie is, please let her know at familia@sprintmail.com The actual photo is still in its cardboard frame. Jamie cropped the scanned image to reduce its download time.
