Poindexter/Poingdestre
Poindexter Family Reunion, June 2008 in Williamsburg Virginia Visit the town where our immigrant George first settled in America, see the parish churches he helped start and served, visit the manor house he built, Criss Cross, but so much more colonial and family history. The focus of my research: The Poingdestre family has resided in the Isle of Jersey, Channel Islands since before the 14th Century. George Poingdestre, born circa 1627, came to Virginia where he was a gentleman planter with lands, ships and more attributed to him. My content here will focus on the last several generations of my branch since the whole of the American family research continues to be done by the Poindexter Descendants Association. Poindexter Descendants Association: The PDA has researched early American Poindexter history and maintains a GEDCOM database for its members on the Web. The PDA also holds annual membership meetings at it's annual Reunion. See poindexterfamily.org My branch of the family: Note: some files
